Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse (Research experience NOT required)

Location: San Antonio, TX

Contract Duration: 6-Month Assignment (NO opportunity to go on perm)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to join our team for a 6-month contract assignment in San Antonio, TX. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to support clinical research studies, ensuring adherence to protocols, regulatory requirements, and participant safety. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply their clinical nursing expertise in a research setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Conduct patient assessments, including screening and enrollment, and provide education regarding the clinical trial process.
  • Study Protocols: Ensure all research protocols are adhered to, including obtaining informed consent from study participants.
  • Data Collection: Assist in the collection of clinical trial data and ensure all data is accurately recorded and maintained in compliance with study requirements and regulatory guidelines.
  • Administer Medications/Interventions: Administer investigational medications and interventions per protocol, and monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Principal Investigator, research coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of clinical research studies.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including case report forms (CRFs), patient charts, and study-related documentation.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and institutional review board (IRB) guidelines.
  • Follow-up Care: Monitor patients' progress and perform follow-up visits to ensure safety and effectiveness during the course of the trial.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN): Valid RN license in the state of Texas.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with having to be an active RN within the last 12 months
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work under tight deadlines.

Work Environment:

This is an on-site, full-time contract position based in San Antonio, TX. Work hours may vary depending on the study requirements.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
