Summary:
The Healthcare Simulation Educator is an expert in simulation education whose primary responsibility is to collaborate with unit educators and content specialists on simulation projects for Children's Health employees, ranging from professional development and patient safety to patient satisfaction. Through the application of various simulation modalities, collaboration with clinical educators utilizing adult learning theory, and strong instructional design, the Simulation Educator's work results in measurable program outcomes in areas such as new hire orientation, ongoing competency, operational readiness, and research/conference presentations.
WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 2 years healthcare simulation experience required
* At least 2 years clinical patient care experience (or additional equivalent healthcare simulations experience can be substituted) req
EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Clinical licensure for professional practice (ex: RN, RT, PA, etc.) Upon Hire preferred
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements 180 Days required
* Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator preferred
