Insight Global is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion for a nursing job in Pearland, Texas.

Title: Infusion RN

Duration: 3-month contract-to-hire

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Must Haves:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• 1 year of chemo infusion experience
• Extensive peripheral IV experience, able to access ports
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in Texas
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or CPR certification.

An oncology clinic in Pearland, TX is seeking an Infusion RN to join their team. This individual will be responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, evaluating, and promoting the continuity of care in accordance with established standards and practices. They will assess patient and family needs, provide education and instructional materials, and prepare and administer therapies under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities also include administering medications and blood products accurately, ensuring the correct dosage, route, timing, and technique. The role requires obtaining pre-authorizations and appropriate consent forms when necessary, facilitating dose modifications through patient assessment, lab evaluations, protocol consultation, and collaboration with physicians. Additionally, the individual will perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, maintain central line catheter devices, and ensure accurate documentation of all patient care and treatments provided.
