Work hours: Full-Time Night Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm –7:00 am

Texas Health Denton is a Joint Commission-accredited Primary (Level II) Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, a Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and a Magnet® designated hospital.
Our four-story specialty center for women and infants features 12 labor and delivery beds, 2 C-section suites along with 6 antepartum and 24 postpartum beds. Texas Health Denton is the city’s only provider of obstetrical and neonatal intensive care services and is the largest provider of obstetrical services in Denton County. The ground floor houses a breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program.

- Sign on Bonus for Eligible New Hires**
Work location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201
Work hours: Full-Time Night Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm –7:00 am
- Sign-on bonus for eligible RN’s (eligible upon hire with a signed 2-year retention agreement)
- Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of our 41 Emergent Care Rooms. Next stop trauma designation!
- Our emergency care nurses, paramedics, employees, and physicians on the medical staff receive continual training in the use of specialized lifesaving equipment and techniques.

- State of the art emerging disease and decontamination suite that can accommodate any infectious disease that can also dual function as an inpatient room for extended stays.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
- CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS – within 90 days of hire
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
- 1-year of Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
- 2-3 year ER experience preferred.
- ENPC – Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course – 12 months required
- TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course – 12 months required
- PALS - within 90 days of hire
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
