Registered Nurse (RN) Full-Time Nights – Labor and Delivery (L&D) for Texas Health Alliance

Work location: Texas Health Alliance, 10864 Texas Health Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76244

Work hours: Full-time nights, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Labor And Delivery Unit Department Highlights

  • Texas Health Alliance is a Texas 10-step designated facility.
  • 14 LDR Rooms
  • 4 OB/ED bays – with OB Hospitalists 24/7
  • 2 OR suites
  • Average between 160 deliveries per month and increasing.
  • 24 bed Postpartum/Newborn, couplet care
  • Level III Maternal designation
  • Level III NICU

Here’s What You Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire Req
  • NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days of hire
  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
  • At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
